Solution: A Guard Dog and Alien Spray

My sisters each came up with a solution to Tyler's  Alien trouble
I didn't even ask them.
At the next family dinner, they each provided Tyler with some Alien protection.
Because my sisters are awesome like that.

Jessica gave Tyler some Anti-Alien Spray.
Tyler had me spray it every night before he went to bed.
I think it worked great, because I never saw any aliens, and neither did he.
(Incidentally, it is also is very helpful at keeping bad smells away).

Photobucket

Kati gave Tyler a stuffed dog that she informed him, would protect him.
He sleeps with it every night, without exception.
He refers to it as the "puppy that keeps me safe".

Photobucket
He looks tough, doesn't he?

So, thanks to my wonderful sisters, Tyler's fears of alien invasion, for the most part, have been resolved.

**Also...I have started taking photo appointments again. I will only be taking a limited number of appointments this fall, so if you are looking to get family portaits done, contact me soon!**

Kathy Graduated

The little sister, Kati, graduated high school last week.
I'm rather proud of her.
"Freedom!"
The ceremony was quite long... so Kati amused herself by making faces at me.
Can you see her with her hand- binoculars?
Ladies and Gents,
Kati is now an "adult" out in the big, wide world.
I hope the world is ready for her.....

My Weekend Consisted of this:

I spent the majority of the weekend with my sisters and mom.
I planted a garden at my grandparents house.
I went to IKEA with my sisters (and only spent $13!).
We made s'mores--More than once.
We laughed hysterically.
We listened to the Glee Soundtrack (at deafening volumes).
And, our kids were filthy by the end of every day.
It was glorious.

Unfortunately, my weekend consisted of far too little of this handsome man:

This semester is a killer, and is taking all of Tim's spare time.
Although he was the hero that got the fire started tonight... after two others failed...
We won't name any names.....

Kati's Senior Prom

Saturday night, before going to dinner and shopping with some friends I went and took pictures of Kati before she went to Prom....

Doesn't she look like a tooth paste commercial?

I really like her dress.

David, this is for you.
She was the same color as the "Turquoise Wonder of Glory"

Pretty Girl

Her date was a bit late.
So we ended up with quite an entourage of people waiting for him.
We decided when he got there we would interview him...
Interviewer #1 Michelle Brown

Interviewer #2 Holly K

Interviewer #3 Jen Kay (Whose birthday is tomorrow... Happy Birthday Jen!!!!)

Interviewer #4 Me, of course.

When he finally arrived, he was in a limo.
And Kati didn't let us interview him.
Darn.

She finally learned how to pin on a boutonniere.
My mom didn't have to do it this time.
Now that I think about it, I bet she practiced before hand....
I'm not really sure why all of the fella's in their group came in...
But it looked like she had four dates.

And she had a lovely time.

PS. Can you believe that last post?! I couldn't. What an awesome husband I have. I'm so very lucky.
PPS. I can't believe he hacked into my blog....

I Forgot

For Kati's Birthday, in February, I took her on a hot date.
I had every intention on blogging about it.
I even took some really ridiculous pictures of us ... in the movie theater bathroom, no less.
And then what did I go and do???
I forgot all about it.
Until today, when I came across our fabulous pictures......

Dear Kathy,
Thank you for going on a hot date with me.
I had a splendid time.
Valentines Day was hilarious.
And so was our "romantic" dinner....
Remember when you asked me if I wanted to be best friends??
Bahahahaha!
Love,
Carl

What do you do during the winter?

Tyler is a very busy kid.
It's not easy to keep him entertained when it's too cold to play outside.
This year we have:

  • Made Play Dough

  • Made Cookies (several times)

  • Library Story Time
  • Barnes and Noble Story Time
  • Lots of play dates

(I forgot to blog about this reunion.... they were SO exicted to see each other. Can you tell?)

  • We go to the zoo almost every week (anyone want to come??)
Tyler, Piper, and Creed

  • We go to the park, even though it's cold

(Tyler wasn't stopping for donuts...)

  • Colored the snow an idea (shamelessly) stolen from my friend Stephanie
Thanks Steph, this occupied Tyler for almost two hours.... it was fantastic.

    • We've also spent countless hours jumping on the bed, dancing around the living room, coloring, painting, cutting, reading, playing hide and go seek, and (reluctantly) braving the cold weather.....

There are a few other places I'd like to visit, like:

    What have you done????

Because I'm running out of ideas... and spring isn't coming fast enough.

PS. I just realized that my day ended with cupcakes and The Office again.
    Weird.
Although, this time the cupcakes were provided by Kati.
