Ten and Thirty

Ten years ago Tim walked through my front door.
I was wearing a grey hoodie, and I sported a pony-tail, braces, and an epic amount of eyeliner.
I was hot.
Tim's arm was bleeding because his brother, Ed, stabbed him with the car keys.
He was devilishly handsome in his No Fear T-shirt and baggy jeans.
Tim had tagged along with said brother to visit a girl he liked, on her birthday.
The girl being my sister, Jessica.

Things didn't work out for Jessica and Ed.
But they did for us.

Happy 30th Birthday Jess!
Sorry I married your ex-boyfriend's brother!
(... actually I'm not.)
I hope you had a lovely birthday!

Jessi's husband, Isaac, hacked into her blog and wrote her a very sweet blog post.

Solution: A Guard Dog and Alien Spray

My sisters each came up with a solution to Tyler's  Alien trouble
I didn't even ask them.
At the next family dinner, they each provided Tyler with some Alien protection.
Because my sisters are awesome like that.

Jessica gave Tyler some Anti-Alien Spray.
Tyler had me spray it every night before he went to bed.
I think it worked great, because I never saw any aliens, and neither did he.
(Incidentally, it is also is very helpful at keeping bad smells away).

Kati gave Tyler a stuffed dog that she informed him, would protect him.
He sleeps with it every night, without exception.
He refers to it as the "puppy that keeps me safe".

He looks tough, doesn't he?

So, thanks to my wonderful sisters, Tyler's fears of alien invasion, for the most part, have been resolved.

**Also...I have started taking photo appointments again. I will only be taking a limited number of appointments this fall, so if you are looking to get family portaits done, contact me soon!**

4

Tim and I gave having four boys a try yesterday.
My sister, Jessica, had a doctor's appointment  so we watched her monsters twins.
Tim normally would have been in class, but he got out early... and I was glad he did.

Tim pretending to use Tyler as a pillow... a game Ty thinks is hilarious.

"Say cheese Evan!"

Tyler was ready for battle.

Erick

I love this picture.

It was a little bit chaotic, but the boys all had a lot of fun.
Especially Jax... he loves playing with Erick and Evan.

PS. No, my kids do not wear pants.

Jessi...

Today, is my sister, Jessica's, birthday.
Jessi is a fantastic mother of three. She has a four year old daughter and one year old twin boys. I dont' know how she does it all. Her twins are a handful. The thought of taking care of them strikes fear into my very soul. She is also extremely talented. She can crochet and cross stitch circles around any 85 year old woman. She also draws, cooks, dances and creates beautiful thing with anything from flowers to paper. She once drew a picture on a poster I had to make for a class. I didn't realize it was a poster contest, until I won!
Her kids are so lucky to have her. She always goes the extra mile for every holiday and ensures their childhood is awesome and full of adventure.
She is also hilarious.
And she's one of my best friends.
Happy Birthday Jess!!!
