Jaxen's Super Hero Party

Tim and I were partied out after last year (Tyler, JaxenMadee all had big birthday parties), so we decided that we would start only having big parties when our kids turned an even number. Jaxen turned four last month (seriously.... I know everyone always says this, but how did he get so big???). Lucky for him, four is an even number. Jax wanted a super hero party, so a super hero party is what we had. We decided to not invite both of our big families, and just let Jax invite five friends from our neighborhood. It turned out really fun and easy.
My amazingly talented friend Jen made all the kids super hero capes. They turned out so so cute!
My kids are all in love with their capes and wear them all the time.

I got these cute graphics from Peach Pops Clipart and threw together an invitation and decorations

We even got Tim a cape. He's the coolest Dad ever.
Tim took Jax to lunch, bowling, and to his very favorite store (Home Depot) that morning--definitely the coolest Dad ever.
My mom came to help with the party.
(She pretty much made all the food....thanks Mom!)

We invited Jen and her family to come and stay for the party when she brought us the capes.
Madee couldn't have been happier to have her BFF, Avynlee, there.
When the guests started arriving, Madee turned into a stalker....
Two of Jaxen's friends were sick the day of the party, so we ended up with only three kids (and one friend of Tyler's).
We decorated super hero masks.
I was worried how they would turn out because I just cut them from craft foam and tied elastic to them,
but they were pretty fantastic, especially after they were decorated.

All the Super Heroes...

We had a Super Hero dinner with all of Jaxen's favorite food.
I realize the kids can't read, but I made the food and water bottle templates for Tyler's Star Wars party so all I had to do was change the words.

The idea of feeding dinner to a bunch of four year olds made me a little nervous, but they were so well behaved and hardly made any mess.

I looooove Jaxen's face in this picture.

After dinner we sang Happy Birthday to Jax and had cupcakes.

Tyler was really enjoying that cupcake.
So was Tim.
Then we opened presents and let the boys run around the house in their super attire (saving the world, of course) until their parents came.

After all of Jaxen's friends went home, we had him open his presents from us.
Including a Venom costume.
Jaxen is always pretending to be Venom, from Spiderman.
He was ecstatic!
Pure joy
Now we get to see this creature running around the house all day.
I love this kid!
I'm so glad he's mine.
