March Family Dinner

My parents have a big family dinner at least once a month. 

We eat, and talk, and usually have cake for someone's birthday.

Or just because we like cake. 

I don't usually bring my camera, but at the beginning of March, 

we had a dinner and ate cake in honor of Jaxen and my Grandpa's birthday, so I had to bring it along.

My kids and Jessi's kids are always thrilled to have the opportunity to play together.

For many years, if any of us asked my Grandpa if he needed anything, 

his answer would be, "A new pair of legs".

He was injured in the war (he still has grenade shrapnel in his back) and it has had a negative effect on his legs as he has aged. 

So we decided to get him a new pair of legs for his birthday.... leg lamps that is. 

He really liked them. He said it was the best birthday present he could remember getting in a long time.

He made David come over and set them up that evening.

Lately Jaxen pretends to be a beaver or a wolf (among other animals/people). 

So my parents got Jax a wolf hat and beaver stuffed animal. 

He loves them. He sleeps with the beaver every night. He named him Beavery.

He wears the wolf hat every chance he can. 

And then of course we had cake.
