Madelinn's 3rd Birthday Party

Our sweet girl turned THREE! We originally had planned to just celebrate with our little family at home, but Madee loves parties so much and she's had such a weird year, we decided a party was in order.
We filled her room with pink balloons and streamers while she was sleeping, so she was pretty excited when she woke up. I woke up to her little voice down the hall saying, "It's so beautiful! It's so beautiful!"

We had her party at a splash pad. She loves splash pads...
The weather forecast wasn't great, but we decided that there was still a pretty good chance it wouldn't rain and it was warm enough they could just play in the rain.

The kids had SO much fun!

So many of Madee's friends and family came out to celebrate with us.

But... unfortunately the good weather didn't last.
A storm blew in quick and we had sunny skies one second and a raging downpour the next.
We all huddled under the little (leaky) pavilion waiting for the wind and rain to stop.

Boston thought the rain was great.
It wasn't just a little rain storm and it didn't appear to have any end it sight, so we made a quick decision and looked up the nearest McDonalds and we cleared out and met there.
Madee's face looks distraught, but other than being cold, she was kind of excited when it started to rain.
So we moved out (now wet) party to McDonalds (hashtag classy) and bought everyone ice-cream cones.

Madee received so many fun gifts.

It was a very memorable party and whenever someone asks Madee how old she is, she says, "Three, and it rained on my party".
Love her.
